Lexington Police are currently conducting an investigation into a homicide that took place on April 30, 2024, as reported by the department. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Shropshire Avenue and East Third Street. Upon discovery of the crime scene, an officer found a male victim inside a vehicle who had sustained a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

In response to the tragedy, detectives from the Personal Crimes Section are actively working on the case and are urging individuals with any pertinent information to come forward.
