Carlisle, KY – Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) has revealed that $1,769,000 in federal funding has been allocated to Nicholas County Fiscal Court for the construction of a new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) facility in Carlisle. He further highlighted the significance of the new facility, emphasizing that it will enable the county to attract and retain skilled EMS personnel while advancing their mission to enhance safety in Nicholas County. Barr also shared his pride in contributing taxpayers' money back to the community, stating, "I am proud to return Nicholas Countians’ hard-earned tax dollars back to their community."

Nicholas County Judge-Executive Steve Hamilton joined Congressman Barr in acknowledging the collaborative efforts that brought the project to fruition, stating, “Together, with Congressman Barr and his fine staff, the Bluegrass ADD, and the fiscal court, this vision has become a reality. Perseverance and positive working relationships are paramount! On behalf of the county, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Congressman Barr. He is indeed a friend to our community.”

This substantial federal funding will play a crucial role in the construction of a modern EMS facility, ensuring that the Nicholas County community receives essential emergency medical services in a state-of-the-art setting.
